  • Auto burglary: A Morgan Hill resident reported their Mitsubishi Eclipse was broken into overnight while it was parked at Murphy Avenue and Kelly Park Circle, and the stereo and their iPod was stolen. The report was taken at 7:32am.

  • Burglary: A new dump trailer valued at $6,500 was stolen overnight from a locked, gated area at East Dunne Avenue. The report was taken at 8:25am.

  • Vandalism: A resident of the Terracina Apartments reported she heard her car alarm going off at 1am but reset it. In the morning, she found the rear window of her Honda Civic was shattered. She told police she thought it was shattered by a bullet, and she thinks she knows where the suspect lives. The report was taken at 8:40am.

  • Burglary: A construction site on Barrett Avenue was broken into overnight, and approximately $900 in lumber was stolen. The report was taken at 1:49pm.

  • Fraud: A Morgan Hill resident reported his stolen bank card was used at an ATM on Dunne Avenue. The report was taken at 1:59pm.

  • Petty theft: A resident of Calle del Sol reported her wallet was stolen from her desk in her home the day before, and her roommate’s wallet was also stolen. She told police they suspect a homeless acquaintance. The report was taken at 8:03pm.

December 31

  • Fraud: Quizno’s Subs on Monterey Road reported they received a counterfeit $100 from a customer on Dec. 30. The report was taken at 11:04am.

n Rape: A resident of the Pacific Hills Manor told her family that she was sexually abused at the facility by an employee but doesn’t remember the details and can’t tell them the name of the employee. The report was taken at 8:52pm.

January 1

  • Vandalism: A resident of the Crest Avenue Apartments reported she came home to find her door broken and told police she thinks she knows who did it. She said she had an argument with a female, and she thinks it was that female who broke the door. The report was taken at 1:23am.

  • Auto burglary: A Morgan Hill resident reported his RV and trailer were broken into while they were parked behind Dinan Engineering on Jarvis Drive. Tools and other items were stolen. The report was taken at 2:43pm.

  • Vandalism: The front door of the YMCA Mt. Madonna on Crest Avenue was shattered overnight. The report was taken at 5:25pm.

  • Burglary: Max Displays on Adams Court was broken into overnight. A window was shattered, and computer monitors were stolen. Other items may also have been taken. The report was taken at 5:54pm.

n Embezzlement: A Morgan Hill resident reported a former employee took their credit card and charged $180. The report was taken at 7:28pm.

  • Burglary: Trend West Resorts on Cochrane Circle reported the back windows of the business were dismantled, and several computers were stolen over the weekend. The report was taken at 7:53pm.

  • Petty theft: A resident of Cimarron Drive reported her cell phone was stolen from her residence, and she believes one of her daughter’s friends may have stolen it. The report was taken at 8:33pm.

January 2

  • Stolen vehicle: A resident of Mathilda Court reported his Ford Aerostar van was stolen overnight. The report was taken at 2:48am.

  • Stolen vehicle: Probe Specialists on Digital Drive reported a Ford van was stolen from the back parking lot of the business on Dec. 31. The report was taken at 10:07am.

  • Stolen vehicle: A Honda Accord was stolen from a residence on East Edmundson Avenue during the early morning hours. The report was taken at 1:17pm.

  • Vandalism: A vacant property on East Edmundson Avenue was vandalized sometime between Nov. 20 and Dec. 31. Mini blinds, screen doors, closet doors and the garage door were damaged. The report was taken at 2:02pm.

  • Vandalism: Residents of Windmill Mobile Home Park reported four vehicles with slashed tires. The report was taken at 9:42pm.
