• Auto burglary: A resident of Cordova Court reported their Chevy was broken into overnight. A garage door opener and a cell phone and charger were stolen. The glove compartment, console and visor were tampered with. The report was taken at 6:54am.
• Auto burglary: A resident of Claremont Drive reported their Honda Civic was broken into. A stroller, golf shoes and other items were stolen. The report was taken at 7:05am.

• Auto burglary: A resident of Creekwood Court reported their BMW was broken into overnight, and the stereo was stolen. The report was taken at 6:17am.
• Auto burglary: A resident of Claremont Drive reported their unlocked Mercury Sable was broken into overnight, and a checkbook and makeup bag were stolen. The report was taken at 7:43am.
• Vandalism: Owner of the Nguyen Factory on West Main Avenue reported a 10-year-old boy started a fire on the front door of the business. They put out the fire, but the suspect was still at the business. The report was taken at 4:05pm.
• Vandalism: A resident of the Village Avante Apartment Homes reported his GMC Denali was “scratched all over” sometime during the afternoon. The report was taken at 9:56pm.
• Domestic violence: A 47-year-old Morgan Hill man was arrested on charges of spousal battery after a neighbor reported hearing he and his wife fighting. The wife received a head injury. The report was taken at 10:38pm.
September 4
• Disturbance: A resident of the Murphy Ranch Apartment Homes reported she was sitting on her patio when someone threw a bottle full of dirt that hit her window. There was no damage to the window, she told police, but the bottle almost hit her daughter on the head. She thinks the bottle came from the playground area of the complex. The report was taken at 8:39pm.
September 6
• Grand theft: A resident of Laurel Wood Lane reported her jewelry pouch is missing from her dresser. She told police the only person in her house is the cleaning lady’s daughter. She has tried to call the lady, she told police, but the phone is disconnected. The pouch of jewelry is valued at approximately $10,000. The report was taken at 1:30pm.
