Identity theft: A resident of Thomas Grade reported someone has attempted to make purchases with her credit card three times and now have used it for a Western Union cash transfer. The report was taken at 3:23pm.
Arrest: Richard L. Copeland, 37, was charged with driving under the influence. The report was taken at 11pm.
November 20
Auto burglary: A Morgan Hill resident reported her vehicle was broken into while parked in the Safeway parking lot the night before. The report was taken at 12:26pm.
Auto burglary: A resident of Del Monte Lane reported her Honda Civic was broken into. The interior was “ripped apart,” and both of the license plates were stolen. The report was taken at 3:48pm.
Burglary: A resident of Lassen Way reported sometime during the day someone broke into their home. Items were missing, and the front door was open when they came home. The report was taken at 7:11pm
November 21
Child abuse: Saint Louise Medical Center reported a 3-year-old female in the emergency room with two broken shoulders. The medical personnel were told the injuries were caused by “neighborhood children.” They also told police the grandmother told the girl “not to say anything,” but the mother brought her into the emergency room. The report was taken at 7:32pm.
November 22
Vandalism: The Courtyard Marriott on Madrone Parkway reported the urinal and the men’s bathroom was damaged, and water was shooting out. The report was taken at 2:16am.
Stolen vehicle: A resident of the Creekside Village Townhomes reported her Toyota Solara was stolen overnight. She told police she believes she left the garage door open, and the keys were in the vehicle. The report was taken at 6:31am.
Auto burglary: A resident of Del Monte Village Townhomes reported he left his rental car unlocked and the stereo and CD player were stolen. The report was taken at 7:01am.
Auto burglary: A resident of Diana Avenue reported someone stole the garage door opener of their residence from their unlocked car and got into the garage. The report was taken at 8:07am.
Auto burglary: A resident of Pinto Court reported someone tried to break into her Acura Integra overnight. She also told police the wheels were taken off of the car, and it was left balanced on rocks. The report was taken at 8:15am.
Burglary: Home Depot on East Dunne Avenue reported a male and a female suspect stole several hand tools. They were spotted on a video surveillance camera, and their descriptions were given to police, as well as the license number of the car they left in. The report was taken at 8:54am.
Arrest: Wayne Silva, 40, was arrested charged with spousal battery. The report was taken at 1:46pm.
Arrest: Jerry J. Luna, 18, was arrested and taken to county jail charged with receiving stolen property. The report was taken at 11:40pm.
