Vandalism
- Corte Cabanil, 9:49 a.m. A resident reported that for the past three and a half years, El Toro Elementary students have taken a shortcut through a fence that is on her property. The city has repaired the fence several times, she told police, but the problem is getting worse. She said older kids come through the fenced to access a back lot where they smoke marijuana.
Auto burglary
- Cochrane Village Apartments, Butterfield Boulevard, 11:12 a.m. A resident report a Honda Civic was broken into overnight. A window was shattered, and the doors were left open. Stereo equipment, a backpack and other items were stolen.
Threats
- Acacia Mobile Home Park, Monterey Road, 1:21 p.m. A resident reported that she and her husband are getting a divorce, and he has threatened to kill her.

Sobrato High School, Burnett Avenue, 4:28 p.m. A female student reported her ex-boyfriend has been sending her threatening text messages.

- La Alameda, 7:02 p.m. A resident reported her Toyota Camry was stolen from the parking lot.

Petty theft
- In-N-Out Burger, Cochrane Road, 12:16 p.m. Someone stole a backpack that was sitting on the floor on Oct. 8.

- Holiday Inn Express, Condit Road, 12:52 p.m. A Honda Civic was stolen from the parking lot.
Vandalism
- Nob Hill Foods, Vineyard Town Center, 9:13 p.m. Someone threw a bottle at a Honda Civic in the parking lot, and the bottle shattered the windshield.

- Smoeun Srean, 26, of San Jose, 1:43 p.m. Sunday, near the intersection of U.S. 101 and Hellyer Avenue in San Jose for reckless driving and violation of a court order.

Recovered stolen vehicle
- Deputies responded to a possible auto burglary near the Anderson Lake County Park to find a green 2004 Volvo XC9 near the intersection of Coyote and Cochrane roads in Morgan Hill, 6:46 p.m. Saturday.

Deputies found a red 1992 Nissan Sentra near the intersection of Buena Vista and Marcella avenues, 12:56 p.m. Nov. 1.
Grand theft
- A purse containing a cell phone, keys, credit cards, checks, wallet and cash valued at $715 from an unlocked gold 2004 Ford Excursion parked outside a house on Fitzgerald Avenue in San Martin.
Vandalism
- A window valued at $150 was broken after an incident between a victim and her ex-boyfriend. At 11:26 p.m. Friday, the victim drove her grey Jeep Cherokee over to his house, where he threw gravel at her and busted her rear window, she said. However, he claims that it was another man who threw the gravel.
Petty theft
- A 15-gallon passion vine valued at $80 was stolen from Nursery Outlet, 13635 Sycamore Ave., in San Martin, between 4 p.m. Oct. 31 and 4 p.m. Nov. 1. The suspect cut a nearby fence, causing $120 in damage, to gain entry. It was the third theft at the nursery in three days.
Burglary
- Four days of mail were stolen from a mailbox outside a residence near the intersection of Liberata Drive and Main Street in Morgan Hill, 3 p.m. Oct. 25. The suspect or suspects used a pry tool to twist open the locking mechanism.
Suicide
- A woman was found with a plastic bag over her head at Tohara Way in Morgan Hill, 7:57 p.m. Oct. 29. There was nothing suspicious on scene.
