  • Auto burglary: A Barnell Avenue resident reported someone broke into his truck and stole tools and a cell phone. The report was taken at 7:05am.

  • Identity theft: A Corte Cabas resident reported someone used her ID and Social Security number to open several accounts. The report was taken at 10:28am.

  • Arson: A Diana Avenue resident reported his Bobcat tractor was burned. The report was taken at 3:35pm.

  • Burglary: A West Dunne Avenue resident reported someone picked the lock of their garage and stole postage meters overnight. The report was taken at 3:52pm.

  • Auto burglary: A Village Avante Apartments resident reported someone shattered their Toyota’s window and stole the stereo. The report was taken at 4:17pm.

Jan. 25

  • Vandalism: Jody’s Junction on East First Street reported gang graffiti was etched into the business’s windows. The report was taken at 9:09am.

  • Burglary: A Brega Lane resident reported someone broke into his residence during the day and stole his flatscreen TV and his daughter’s piggy bank. The report was taken at 6:45pm.

Jan. 26

  • Burglary: SMS Woodworking Specialists on Concord Circle was broken into overnight. The door knob was broken, and the door appears to have been forced open. The report was taken at 7:33am.

  • Auto burglary: A Morgan Hill resident reported his wallet was stolen from his unlocked vehicle while it was parked at the Quick Stop on West Main Avenue on Jan. 25. He told officers the wallet contained his green card, driver’s license, Social Security card and $1,400 in cash. The report was taken at 11:47am.

  • Petty theft: A guest of the Comfort Inn on Condit Road reported a pair of gold earrings valued at $250 were stolen from her room. The report was taken at 5:54pm.

Jan. 27

  • Auto burglary: A guest of the Quality Inn on Condit Road reported someone broke a window of her Mercedes and stole her purse and several other items. The report was taken at 1:35pm.

  • Vandalism: The glass front door of SMS Woodworking Specialists on Concord Circle was shattered. The report was taken at 4:58pm.

Jan. 28

  • Burglary: A Morgan Hill resident’s locker at the Centennial Recreation Center on West Edmundson Avenue was broken into. His keys, wallet and other items were stolen. The report was taken at 11:18am.

  • Auto burglary: A Morgan Hill resident reported their locked Honda Odyssey was broken into while it was parked at the LDS Church on East Dunne Avenue. A window was shattered, and a purse and wallet were stolen from the van. The report was taken at 12:30pm.

  • Auto burglary: A Morgan Hill resident reported someone stole her purse from her unlocked Nissan Quest while it was parked at St. Catherine School on Peak Avenue. The report was taken at 1:45pm.

  • Grand theft: A Fountain Oaks Drive resident reported that two adult bikes were stolen from their breezeway. The report was taken at 8:16pm.

Jan. 29

  • Burglary: Erik’s Deli in Vineyard Town Center was broken into overnight. The safe in the office had been drilled open, but it was unclear at the time of the report if anything was stolen. The report was taken at 7:05am.
