Morgan Hill – Three people were arrested Thursday as Morgan Hill police conducted two separate parole searches.

Morgan Hill police Sgt. David Swing said “practically half the department” went to a home on Grand Prix Way to conduct the search. Swing said detectives had information that Jose Cid, who Swing said has a history of running from police, might be at the residence.

Cid, 29, a Morgan Hill resident, was arrested without incident and taken to Santa Clara County Jail for alleged parole violation. Swing said this time he did not run from police.

At the same residence, officers arrested Patricia Loa, 30, of Morgan Hill, for alleged possession of drug paraphernalia and having false registration on a vehicle. She was cited and later released. She was arrested and released the night before on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance, Swing added.

While at the house on Grand Prix Way, officers also talked to Joe Merriman, who according to Swing is also a parolee. Merriman was not arrested, but conducted a parole search of his home on Church Street. Richard Ramirez, 59, a Morgan Hill resident, was in the garage of the Church Street residence, Swing said. Ramirez had a warrant from the State Parole Department for an alleged parole violation as well as a felony warrant out of Merced for alleged drug-related offenses. He was booked into Santa Clara County Jail.

All three parolees were arrested without incident.
