Live Oak’s Madison Hartman works to block a shot by Sobrato’s Taylor Disibio during their match at Live Oak High School.

Live Oak varsity girls volleyball eked into the Central Coast Section postseason and earned a home match to boot, welcoming Monterey to Morgan Hill in a first round contest slated for Wednesday at 7 p.m.

The Acorns are the No. 8-seed in the Division III bracket and the Toreadores the No. 9-seed. The winner will play top-seeded Valley Christian on Saturday.

Also, receiving a playoff berth, the Sobrato varsity girls volleyball team will travel to No. 6 Los Altos High School as the No. 11-seed in the Division II bracket. The survivor of that first-round match heads to Los Gatos to face the No. 3 Wildcats.
