The Morgan Hill Pee Wee Raiders pulled off a big upset with a 22-14 win over the previously undefeated East Bay West Wolfpack on the road Sunday.

Morgan Hill received the opening kick off and quickly took an 8-0 lead. After an East Bay fumble, the Raiders capitalized with another touchdown to go up 16-0 midway through the second quarter.

East Bay, which gained only 10 yards on six first-half offensive plays, took advantage of a blocked punt to score just before the half.

Morgan Hill started the second half strong with an long drive that ate up the clock before the Raiders scored to make it 22-6.

The momentum turned shortly after. The Raiders were pinned deep and a snap on a punt sailed over the punter’s head and that set up another score for East Bay to make it 22-14.

Another blocked punt by East Bay gave the Wolfpack a chance to tie the game, but Morgan Hill’s defense stiffened up on fourth-and-7 to seal the deal.

The offense gained 147 yards on the day, with Deric Taylor, Matt Dariano and Anthony Villarreal all scored touchodwn.

The defense allowed only two first downs and 93 yards. The game was won thanks to the play in the trenches on both sides of the game.

Ronald Bryant, David Salah, Carlos Martinez, Tyler Pederson, Tyler Soares, Abraham Arellano, Andrew Martinez, Paul Ruiz, Tim Camarillo, Jacob LeDon, Danny Saporito, Dominic Bejarano and Clayton Howard all fought hard to help earn the win.
