“Pat” Bagood died Oct. 28, 2003, at home in Gilroy following a
brief illness.
Pastura “Pat” Bagood died Oct. 28, 2003, at home in Gilroy following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Julio Bagood.

Pat was born in Walalua, Oahu, Hawaii, 80 years ago. She moved the California in 1926 and to the Gilroy area in the 1940’s. Mrs. Bagood worked at the Filice and Perrelli Cannery, in San Martin for Driscoll Strawberries and then spent 24 years at IBM as an administrative assistant. Pat was a founding member of the Fil-Am Senior Center in Gilroy and was a member of the Vasayan Trust. She enjoyed traveling in her RV with her husband and was an avid seashell collector.

She is survived by her daughter Camille L. Bagood of Gilroy; grandchildren Rachel Bagood of Santa Maria, Kathy Bagood of Santa Barbara, Elizabeth Bagood of Santa Maria, Alicia Bagood of Fresno and Phillip Bagood of Santa Maria; great-grandchildren nieces and nephews; and her adopted family, the Paul and Barbara Mirelez family.

She was preceded in death by a son, Phillip Bagood, and granddaughters Corrina Bagood and Elaine Bilstad.

Viewing will begin on Sunday, Nov. 2, at 2 p.m., at Habing Family Funeral Home, Gilroy, with Vigil Service at 5 p.m. Service will begin on Monday, Nov. 3, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home and then proceed to St. Mary’s Church for Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
