News coverage about President Bush nominating Harriet Miers for the Supreme Court vacancy is wall-to-wall these days.

The liberal Democrats are unhappy because she has no experience as a judge. Nearly a third of the past 30 Supreme Court judges had no bench time. The conservative Republicans are unhappy because she has no experience as a judge.

Both sides are cutting on President Bush. The liberal Democrats, because they want to regain power by pulling him down. The conservative Republicans, because they want to win a nose-to-nose showdown battle.

Well, it is not going to happen with this nominee. Frankly, I am disappointed with my conservative brethren for not recognizing the brilliance of President Bush.

He said she was the best person he knew for the job. I believe that is true. It is obvious that we have enough “sophisticated, law-twisting judges.” How about a plain citizen who just reads the Constitution like you and I do, then evaluates the cases before her according to what it clearly states.

Any patriotic citizen can read the Constitution and know if something is right or wrong. Let’s have a few of them on the Supreme Court!

For those feisty conservatives spoiling for a nose-to-nose fight – Well friend, we have one right here in River City.

Governor Schwartzenegger did not run for office to become famous. He sure did not do it to get rich! He ran to reform California. He has taken on more nose-to-nose fight than any politician I’ve seen in my 42 years of political activity.

Prop 73 “Parent’s Right to Know” 24 hours before a teen abortion. Is going to turn out great numbers of pro-family voters.

Prop 74 “Excellence in Teaching” faces down the political union boss control of Sacramento legislature while making it possible to fire poor teachers rather than transfer them from school to school. That is called the “lemon dance” by insiders.

Prop 75 “Public Employee Union Paycheck Protection” cuts off the union boss ability to buy political power with compulsory union dues without the specific approval of each employee. Unions spent millions defending Grey Davis from recall, yet 40 percent of those union members voted against Davis!

Prop 76 “Live Within Our Means Act” is a giant step toward putting a stop to the bad habit of buying political power by spending more than we take in. Special interest groups, feeding at the taxpayer trough, are fighting Arnold like cornered rats.

Prop 77 “Fair Districts Now” corrects the problem created when politicians (Democrat and Republican) get to choose their voters rather than the voters choosing their politicians! When this one passes we’ll no longer have three different congressmen representing Gilroy, San Martin and Morgan Hill, respectively!

If you are looking for a scrap, there it is friend. Recognize the millions the union bosses are spending from compulsory union dues for all those negative ads filled with lies. Tell your family and friends to VOTE YES on Arnold’s “Reform and Rebuild” California.

There are some great audio and video links on www.JoinArnold.com. Let’s stand up for what is right and put an end to special interest groups, union bosses, and self- serving politicians ripping us off and ruining our state.
