The Orchard Valley Heat 10-and-under girls soccer team defeated the Central Valley Mercury 2-1 on Sunday at McKinley Middle School, Redwood City, to win the District 2 Cup Championship. Lauren Putney and Nicole Carson scored goals the Heat’s winning effort.
