In the evenings, the trains travel southbound arriving in Morgan Hill at 5:11pm, 6:39pm and 7:22pm before making stops in San Martin at 5:17pm, 6:45pm and 7:28pm then finishing in Gilroy at 5:30pm, 6:58pm and 7:41pm.

A 17.5 percent fare increase will boost the daily trip from South County to San Jose commute from $8.50 to $10. Getting to San Francisco and back will cost $19, up from $16. The fare increases take effect July 1.

The changes come as Caltrain is scrambling to close a budget gap of at least $13.6 million for the fiscal year beginning July 1.

Overall, Caltrain has increased service from 88 to 96 trains daily.
