George Peter Bagoye December 22, 1920 – November 2, 2013

Come join the sons of George Peter Bagoye, as we celebrate the life of our Morgan Hill farmer, and an era passed. The viewing will be held from 2:00-4:00 P.M., followed by the service at 4:00 P.M., on Sunday, November 10th, 2013, at Johnson Funeral Home, 17720 Monterey Rd., Morgan Hill. The burial service will be held at Oak Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park located at 300 Curtner Avenue, San Jose on Monday, November 11th, 2013. We will meet in the main lobby at 11:00 AM.

Robert Anthony Shaffer

Robert Shaffer died peacefully in his sleep the afternoon of June 3rd,2010, two days after his 88th birthday, which he celebrated with his family. Bob served as a Lieutenant in the US Naval Air Corp. He was a certified fighter pilot, flying Hellcats during WWII.

Opal Minnetta Painter

Went home to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ at the age of 99 on November 30, 2009 in Los Banos, CA. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Charles E. Painter in 1977. She is survived by her son, Terry (Stuardt) Clarke of San Pablo, CA., granddaughter, Tami Welker of Los Banos, CA., grandson Rodney Pray, one great-grandson and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was born in Akers, KS and a longtime resident of Gilroy, CA for 48 years until she relocated to Los Banos in November 2000. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Gilroy since 1958. She taught Sunday School and was past secretary. Graveside services will be held Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009 – 11:00 A.M. at Gavilan Hills Memorial Park in Gilroy, CA. Katherine Davis

Katherine (Kay) Davis passed away September 5, 2009, at her home in San Diego surrounded by her family. Kay was born and raised in San Francisco and is survived by: daughter Marian (Mike) Casey, Pam (Fred) Thrasher, brother Al (Kiki) Kasnestis, and sister-in-law Tulla Kasnestis. Kay had five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren who she adored. She was preceded in death by parents John and Mary Kasnestis, her husband Paul Davis, and by siblings James Kasnestis and Johanna Troutman. In 1959, she and her husband Paul relocated to Gilroy where they owned and operated P.D. Farm Egg Co. until retirement in 1976. Kay was an active member in Women in Touch and the Gilroy Senior Citizens. Her family was her life and in 2005 she moved to San Diego, surrounded by many of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Kay leaves a legacy of finding only the good in people and putting a positive spin on every situation. Her motto was, "Everything will be fine, honey."

Leora Del Sanders

Leora Del Sanders, age 83, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2009 in Gilroy. She was predeceased by her husband, John (Jack) Sanders. She is survived by her sons Michael (Jan) of Morgan Hill, and Thomas (Debbie) of Victor, NY; grandchildren Jeffrey, Anthony, Gina, Kevin, Matthew and Amanda Sanders; nieces Judy Clink and Barbara Ahlin; nephew Steve Rocca and brother-in-law Jack Rocca. She is also survived by her close friend, Carol Nicoletti. Leora lived in Morgan Hill for 58 years and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star for many years.

Angela Saccullo Ferrari

Angela Saccullo Ferrari died at home in Capitola, CA. of natural causes. She was born in Gilroy in 1932 and graduated from Gilroy High School in 1950. She lived most of her professional life in the San Francisco Bay area, as an office manager in the financial district. She pursued an eclectic education; earning her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts Degree in Psychology and Consciousness Studies (1997) at JFK University. She is also a graduate of The Heartsong Institute (1989) and The Monroe Institute. Angela worked as an intuitive counselor until her death. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Joseph Gauthier of Aromas, ten nieces and nephews, two great- nieces, their spouses and children.
