Dorothy (Hansen) Harlan
Dorothy (Hansen) Harlan passed away Sunday evening at her home in Tres Pinos, CA, at the age of 98, after a short illness. She was born in Salinas, California, and lived in San Benito County for many years. Dorothy was educated in Schools in Salinas and graduated from University of California @ Berkeley in 1930 with a degree in economics and education. Her memberships included several quilting groups, Eastern Star and California Cattle Women Association. She was a retired teacher, having taught school in Hollister, San Ardo and Parkfield areas. She was a past Girl Scout Leader, 4-H Leader, and an avid quilter, having donated many quilts to various organizations for fundraisers. Dorothy also was an avid gardener and loved the outdoors. Dorothy was preceded in death by her late husbands, Clarence Hansen and Percy Harlan, a daughter, Marilyn Gaddis and a grandson, Bobby Hansen. She is survived by her sons, Robert Hansen, wife Ann, of Hollister and Laurence Hansen, wife Donna, of King City, and son-in-law, Ralph Gaddis of Paso Robles, CA. Also survived by 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Private family services will be held. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Lung Association. Funeral services will be at Gilroy Catholic Cemetery, 900 1st Street at a future date.
Ernest L. Smith
Ernie was born and raised on a dairy farm in Franklin, California. He was one of four children; Charlotte, Ernie, Francis, and Irwin, born to Elizabeth and Matthew Smith. His father passed away when Ernie was a teenager, leaving Ernie and his brother, Irwin, to maintain the farm. He graduated with honors from Elk Grove High School, where he was a member of the band, and football and basketball teams.
Thomas Furtado
Thomas Furtado, 59, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Kaiser Hospital on August 21, 2010. Thomas was born on May 27, 1951 to Anthony and Norma Furtado. He lived on the family ranch in Gilroy.
Wanda J. Lewis
Born to Lloyd and Amy Thomas in Guymon, OK, she and her twin brother, Wade, were the 2nd and 3rd of eleven children.
Maxine Ginther
Maxine (Granma) Ginther was born in Anadarko, OK on 02/06/1938 and moved with her family to CA at a young age. Maxine passed away after a brief illness on 01/08/2009 in San Jose, CA.
Marie Tognazzini
Marie Tognazzini passed away Friday at the age of 96. She was born in Hollister and has lived here all of her life. She was predeceased by her husband Werner Tognazzini and her daughter, Florence J. Vallejo. Marie is survived by her son-in-law, Anthony Vallejo of Hollister, grandchildren, Craig Vallejo, wife, Kristen, of Hollister and Debra Reimche, husband, Jack, of Elk Grove, great-grandchildren, Kyle Vallejo, Nick Mason, Jessica Reimche and Cade Vallejo. She also is survived by many other family members.

Paz Agulay Feril passed away at her Hollister residence on January 30, 2009 at the age of 77 years.
