Trustees take advantage of tech

How important is it for a trustee to physically be in the boardroom during proceedings, both private and public? If there are extenuating circumstances such as business travel or illness keeping them from being in attendance, is it better for the impacted trustee to remotely participate in a meeting or just let their colleagues handle the business without them?

UPDATE: Jackson Elementary principal resigns, takes early retirement incentive

Garry Dudley's last day as Jackson Elementary's principal was Tuesday. He resigned following the Morgan Hill Unified school board of trustees' unanimous approval in closed session Tuesday afternoon and will retire before the end of the calendar year. Dudley will be paid for the sick days he accrued since his hire by former Superintendent Alan Nishino in August 2007.
