School district officials used drones and live streaming at Live Oak and Sobrato High School graduation ceremonies last week to capture the memories of the Class of 2017.

Martin Murphy Middle School held its 22nd annual Turkey Trot on Nov. 16. The school-wide event included students, faculty and staff. They ran or walked a one-mile course. Eighth-grader Vanessa Guevara kicked off this year's race by singing the National Anthem. Coordinator Dan Scudero worked hard to arrange a fun and successful event for the Martin Murphy community with excellent student participation – 90 percent of the 640 students. Parent participation was also high, as they volunteered during the event and donated gift cards, electronic items, goodies, and other prizes.
