Downtown businesses and the crew that runs San Jose’s increasingly popular Moveable Feast are finalizing plans to bring the mobile dining extravaganza to downtown Morgan Hill one night a week this late summer and early fall.
If all goes according to plan, starting Sept. 14, the gourmet food trucks that participate in Moveable Feast will come to East Third Street in Morgan Hill from 5 to 9 p.m., and continue the feast every Wednesday for about six weeks as a “trial run” for a possible long-lasting arrangement, according to Morgan Hill Downtown Association Interim President John McKay.
“If it goes well, we’ll do it again next year,” McKay said, noting the plans for the upcoming Moveable Feast series are about “98 percent” complete.
Although downtown Morgan Hill is already teeming with popular restaurants, the Moveable Feast—with a strong following of foodies—actually brings in more customers to any area the mobile food court serves, McKay explained.
Moveable Feast offers weekly dinner and lunch at various rotating locations throughout the South Bay. For more information, keep an eye on the MHDA website at morganhilldowntown.org, or the Moveable Feast website at mvblfeast.com.
