Grand theft

A Honda 3000 generator valued at about $2,000 was stolen out of the bed of a pickup truck parked in the Safeway grocery store lot at 840 East Dunne Ave. The theft occurred between 12:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. Nov. 10.

Petty theft

Sunglasses, jumper cables, a flashlight and a black brief case containing legal papers were stolen out of a vehicle parked at Longs drug store, 850 East Dunne Ave. The crime was reported 3:37 p.m. Nov. 11.

Animal control

Two pit bulls were euthanized after fighting in front of a residence a residence on the 18100 block of Peet Road. A witness called police to report the dog fight about 1 p.m. Nov. 12. One of the dogs belonged to the witness’s brother. The dogs’ owners separated and contained the animals, and brought them to a vet near Tennant Avenue and Vineyard Boulevard to be euthanized.

Narcotics complaint

A nearby resident reported two or three high school-aged males smoking marijuana on the bleachers of the Ann Sobrato High School athletic field, at 401 Burnett Ave. The crime was reported about 8 a.m. Nov. 13.

Threats

A woman reported that her estranged husband has sent her three text messages saying if she dates anyone else he will kill himself and the new boyfriend. The threats were reported about 9:30 a.m. Nov. 13.

Domestic violence

Police arrested Margarito Morales, 27, on suspicion of spousal abuse Tuesday. A witness called police to report Morales punched his wife in the face twice in the parking lot of Burger King on Dunne Avenue. The victim suffered swollen lips and a swollen eye, but refused medical treatment. Morales was arrested at the couple’s residence on the 300 block of Longview Drive about 11:30 p.m.

Police arrested Charles Redmond, 69, on suspicion of spousal abuse Nov. 13. The victim’s child reported that Redmond hit the woman at her residence on the 16700 block of Ponderosa Court. The victim suffered a cut on her lip, but she refused medical treatment. The crime was reported at 11:54 a.m. Nov. 13.

Graffiti

Someone tagged the outside wall surround the Sonora Ranch development on East Dunne Avenue with the initials “TRO.” The crime was reported 8:29 a.m. Nov. 18.

Burglary

A resident of an apartment on the 15200 block of La Alameda Drive reported she was out of town for a few days and came home to find the residence had been burglarized. Someone broke into the home through a balcony window, and stole an iPod, two DVDs, an Xbox video game system, and a jewelry box. The crime was reported 1:12 p.m. Nov. 13.

A resident of the 17200 block of Calle Mazatan reported someone entered the home through the unlocked side door and stole eight baseball caps and jewelry. The crime was reported at 9:08 a.m. Nov. 16.

Auto theft

Someone broke into two parked cars on the 18600 block of Madrone Parkway. A black Chevrolet S10 Blazer and a gold Jeep Grand Cherokee were broken into between 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Nov. 14.
