’m just calling to express an interest in getting more Sobrato
sports into the paper. I think its really important this being the
first year the school is operating that we support with all we’ve
got in town, so also I know its just JV sports, but it sure would
be nice if they did make a showing
at the TCAL finals in Salinas for cross country as well. Not
doing great, but it would be good to support them.

Green Phone: Green Phone thinks Sobrato is doing just fine for a first-year sports program, and we’d like to get their results in the paper but, once again, we need the coaches’ help. Send us your results.
Caller 2: We’re reading the MH Times this morning and I have two kids on varsity girls and boys water polo and all you’re doing is featuring pictures of the boys. I mean two pictures of the boys, no pictures of the girls. We have a better team than last year. Bottom line is it’s very sexist and very hurtful to these girls who have been working all year long to get where they’re going and not any pictures of them. So let’s lay off the boys for awhile.
Green Phone: Green Phone actually counted the number of photos we’ve run this year for LO girls water polo vs. how many for the Acorn boys. Sorry, Caller 2. but the girls win, 6-4.
