Hollister’s Grady Carroll, the husband of missing woman Heather Carroll, spoke briefly Friday about the family’s efforts to locate his wife.
Heather Carroll, 25, went missing Wednesday and was last seen dropping off her young boy at Ladd Lane School. Family and friends have started unofficial search efforts, while the sheriff’s office search and rescue team is conducting its own, official search.
“The family is doing everything we can,” Grady Carroll said by phone in a brief interview, before noting he would get back to the Free Lance with more information. “Family and friends have offered a lot of help. We aren’t going to stop until we find her.”
Gary Byrne, the executive director of the Community Foundation for San Benito County, said he is a long-time family friend and had talked with Heather Carroll’s mother-in-law and mother.
“(Heather) is the sweetest, gentlest thing and she is the mother of a 5-year-old,” Byrne said.
Grady Carroll asked newspaper reporters to continue to distribute the missing flier poster of Heather Carroll. It notes a $20,000 reward for information leading to the woman.
After her initial disappearance Wednesday, police concern heightened when they discovered her sport utility vehicle engulfed in flames near Enterprise Road and Glenview Drive.
