Millie Brahy died Thursday, Jan. 15, 2004, in Gilroy after a
lengthy illness at the age of 83 years.
Millie Brahy died Thursday, Jan. 15, 2004, in Gilroy after a lengthy illness at the age of 83 years. She was a native of Chicago.
She moved to Gilroy 24 years ago from San Carlos. She was a member of the Gilroy Presbyterian Church, past president of the Gilroy Lions, longtime St. Louise Regional Hospital and Wheeler Hospital volunteer, member of the Gilroy Women In Touch, Sons of Italy, Lodge #1751 Gilroy, Madonna Circle Order of Druids #177 Gilroy and charter member of the Fabulous Flappers.
She was the mother of Ron Chaloupka and his wife Diane of Belmont, Rick Chaloupka of Oregon and Lynn Marquesen, and her husband, Dave of San Mateo; grandmother of Dave Chaloupka of Belmont, Michael Chaloupka of Placerville, Shellene Berzler of Douglasville, Ga., and Sara Curry of San Mateo. She also is survived by her late husband’s children and their families.
She was the aunt of Pat Jezo of San Jose and Dennis Kucera of Illinois and dearest friend of Rosie Mammini of San Martin.
She was preceeded in death by husband Ray Brahy and sister Rose Jezo.
Visitation will be noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, at Habing Family Funeral Home, Gilroy. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Gilroy Presbyterian Church followed by burial at 3 p.m. at Skylawn Memorial Park in San Mateo.
