Police are investigating a Thursday night shooting in the area of Galvan Park in northwest Morgan Hill.

About 10:15pm Sept. 5, Morgan Hill Police officers responded to the area of Crest Avenue and Longview Drive on a report of shots fired. The first officers who arrived at the scene did not locate any victims or property damage, according to MHPD Sgt. Bill Norman.

Officers continued to investigate the report by canvassing the area, and found an unspecified number of spent shell casings, Norman said. No injuries or property damage have been reported due to the shooting.

Police continue to investigate the incident, and are looking for witnesses, surveillance video footage and other evidence in their efforts to identify a suspect or associated vehicle.
