Weekday highlights
Red Sox: Key hits by Cassi Orth, Justin Sanders, Dante Zanotto, Spencer Verada and Robbie Jeffrey helped the team fight back from a 7-1 deficit.
A’s: Strong pitching from Riley Burg, Nicholas Hoefling and Parker Andrews held the opposing team to one run. Hoefling, Andrews and Burg also provided offense needed to squeak out a tough victory. Michael Vu and Jordan Bono reached base and scored.
Nationals: Dalton Habina pitched four shutout innings in a winning effort.
Blue Jays: Anthony Ditta, Eric Swensen, Jarod Hatch and Brandon Kubogamell contributed hits during a five-run first inning. The Blue Jays’ bats then went silent until Eric Clymer lit up the scoreboard again with a two-run homer in the fifth and Ditta walked.
Saturday highlights
Padres: Richard Geraffo batted 3 for 4, Evan Dean was 3 for 5, and Tyler Laisure 2 for 4. Packy Foo added a clutch hit in the top of the seventh to keep alive a rally, but the Padres fell short.
Yankees: The bats came alive in the end of the game as Cameron Savage tripled, and Alejandro Martinez and Michael Dunne doubled.
Red Sox: Zach Robertson and Jimmy Castro had solid hits. Orth and Jeffrey pitched well, and Geno Hess, Zanotto and Sanders played great defense for the Red Sox, who had seven players available.
Astros: Joe Goble pitched a great game, helping to keep the game tied going into the bottom of the seventh. Anthony Martinez scored on a base hit by Anthony Saso to end the game. Saso finished 4 for 4, and Jesse Medina tripled and drove in two runs.
Blue Jays: Luke Newquist contributed two hits, four runs and reached base four times. Mathew Vera had a great game, catching two fly balls in center field in the first inning and doubling up a runner at second base. Vera also drew a walk, had two hits and scored twice. Kubogamell pitched well, and Ditta came in for solid relief with the Padres threatening late.
A’s: Defense was key as Jared Seliber made two exceptional catches in left field. Ryan Barrett was strong at first base, making two unassisted put outs, and Anthony Mendoza was as sound as ever at second.
Nationals: Ryan Quadros doubled four times, Michael Silva gloved a fly ball in right field, and Will Soares made two nice plays at second base.
Giants: Second baseman Jacob Ryder, shortstop Adam Jennings and first baseman Ronnie Salinas combined for a perfectly executed 4-6-3 double play.

Weekday highlights
Red Sox: Marcus Hernandez homered, singled and drove in two runs, and Mikey Yamaguma had three singles to go with three RBIs. Samantha Brenny provided great pitching, and Alex Catale, Daniel Aguaristi, Nolan Cisewski and Cade Hall singled and drove in a run.
Nationals: Ryan Belluomini pitched well and also homered, tripled and scored three times. Derek Petersen had two key hits and scored twice, as did Jake Mercado. Tommy Dunham had a two-run double. Cole Dunne was superb on the hill.
Padres: Chris Turner had four hits, including a home run, and scored four times. Charles Romriell had two triples — part of three hits — and four runs, and Mason Honda batted 3 for 3 and scored four times. Joseph Luna, Chris Knopf, Gregory Sperry and Brant Baugher added two hits, and Willy Andrade a single. Mason Honda and Knopf turned a triple play in the fourth inning.
Rockies: Pitcher Jeremiah Roales allowed one run in the fifth and scored twice. Anthony Castronovo tripled and scored twice, Gavin Vallez had two hits, and Anthony Freitas singled.
Saturday highlights
A’s: Arrinze Okafor had two hits and drove in the game-winning run for the A’s, who scored six runs in the sixth inning. Chris Tieh had four RBIs and two hits, Richard Vargas collected two hits and two RBIs, and Caleb Schwan finished with two hits. Jared Jones had a big game, pitching a scoreless third inning to go with four hits and four RBIs. Ethan Crawford worked a shutout fifth inning and had one hit, and Cole Sanders had one hit and scored twice.
Red Sox: Yamaguma tripled, singled, scored three runs and made a great diving play at shortstop. Aguaristi singled and scored twice, Hernandez doubled and crossed home, and Kris Heredia had a single.
Nationals: Dunne doubled twice and drove in three runs. Ryan Byrne and Belluomini pitched well, with Byrne added a double and two RBIs. Peterson contributed two timely hits, and Dunham plated two runs on a clutch knock.
