Anita Woodson of the Morgan Hill Community Foundation was recognized as a "Hometown Hero" at the 2015 Philanthropy Celebration Nov. 13.

In its continued effort to honor local philanthropy and volunteerism, the Morgan Hill Community Foundation is now accepting applications for its 11th annual community-wide celebration event.
“The MHCF is proud to honor local philanthropy and volunteerism that embody the ‘Give Where You Live’ spirit,” the July announcement reads. “Let us know who has made the difference for your nonprofit this year.”
This year’s event is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 4, at the Morgan Hill Community & Cultural Center, 17000 Monterey Road.
Honoree information is due by Sept. 7; the form and guidelines are available at morganhillcf.org. Honorees may have worked numerous volunteer hours or provided financial support; each organization decides its own criteria to select an honoree.
“Showcase your organization and help make the evening as special as those who make Morgan Hill the place to be,” reads the MHCF release.
