Titled the “10 for 10” award, the Morgan Hill Community Foundation celebrates its 10-year anniversary with a special $10,000 award to a local nonprofit.
With its yearly spring tradition of awarding up to $5,000 to multiple nonprofits, this year’s grant total is the biggest yet. In the past nine years, MHCF granted more than $50,000 total to approximately 36 nonprofits and community projects.
“I can’t think of a better way to celebrate our tenth year than to give our largest, single grant to date and to do it in grand style during the Annual Philanthropy 2012 celebration. This award will showcase philanthropy and how it changes lives for the better,” said Dave Reisenauer, president of the MHCF in a press release.
Grant applications are now available for the special philanthropy project at www.morganhillcf.org. The deadline is Sept. 1 2012. Grant applications and all documentation should be mailed to MHCF, P.O. Box 1974, Morgan Hill, CA 95038. Questions can be directed to Mario Banuelos, ma************@mo**********.org.
The $5,000 grants to local nonprofits is also available online, with a deadline of March 16. Those recipients will be announced in May.
The winner of the $10,000 will be announced at the Annual Philanthropy Celebration Nov. 9 at the Morgan Hill Community & Cultural Center.
