The Raiders hosted the Buccaneers and soundly beat the team from Pittsburg last weekend.
With big plays on special teams and a solid defensive effort the Junior Pee Wees rolled to a 3-0-1 record and early contention for a playoff berth.
Although the offense only gained 111 yards from scrimmage, the return game rolled for 120 yards and two touchdowns.
The defense surrendered 89 yards but Delta Bay hurt itself with 45 yards in penalties to the Raiders’ 10 yards.
MH’s Julius Travis took the opening kickoff 60 yards for the first of his three touchdowns. Travis had a 45-yard punt return and a 40-yard off-tackle run for his other two scores.
Jonah Guary had 32 yards and a TD on two attempts, Matthew Ruiz ran for 10 yards on three carries, and scored on a 3-yard run, and Derrick Taylor got 23 yards on five shots.
The defense was led by Frankie Palmer, who tallied eight tackles including three solo.
MH’s Hunter Sutton added two sacks and two tackles, with an assist, and Steven Villerreal had two solo tackles and two assists.
Keith Turner recovered the only fumble of the game.
