A 28-year-old Morgan Hill man was found with multiple gunshot wounds in Gilroy on the morning of Feb. 29.
Gilroy Police are investigating an incident on the 7100 block of Rosanna Street after officers were contacted by a nearby resident who advised them that a gunshot victim had just shown up at their residence at 9:47 a.m.
Officers responded to the address and found the man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the torso and lower body. The shooting victim, identified by police only as a 28-year-old male resident of Morgan Hill, was conscious but unwilling to provide information to the officers about the shooting.
Officers provided first aid to the victim until fire and ambulance personnel arrived to assume patient care. The victim was then transported to a Bay Area trauma center, where his injuries were determined to not be life-threatening. The victim was last reported to be in stable condition.
Through their initial investigation, officers learned that the victim drove himself to the location on Rosanna Street where he was discovered. The victim refused to provide officers with information about where the shooting too place nor were there any calls of gunshots made to Gilroy Police.
