SAN JOSE — The playoffs start now for Live Oak boys basketball.
The Acorns have to win their five remaining games to become postseason eligibility after dropping a 60-58 decision at Lincoln on Wednesday.
Michael Schreiber reeled off a game-high 18 points, Dominic Leach scored 13, and Dylan Davis added seven for Live Oak, which has suffered all seven of its BVAL-West Valley Division losses by single-digit margins.
The Acorns (6-14 overall, 2-7 BVAL) led 29-28 at halftime and 48-44 heading into the fourth quarter before the Lions dropped in 16 points in the final eight minutes.
Frank Santiago scored 14 points to lead Lincoln (12-8, 7-2).
