Halloween is coming early this year in Morgan Hill.
From the 10-meter Dino Diaper Dash to the 800-meter Stroller Relay, Live Oak High School track and field team’s inaugural Monster Dash fundraiser – slated for the early morning of Oct. 12 on the high school track at 1505 East Main Ave. – has something for every member of the family.
Along with the Dino Diaper Dash for ages 1-2, the Halloween-themed event also offers the 60-meter Toddler Trot for ages 2-3 and 3-4; the 100-meter Goblin Gallup for ages 5-6 and 7-8; the 400-meter Casper Canter for ages 7-8 and 9-10; the Spooky Sprint for ages 9-10 and 11-12; the Monster Mile for ages 11-14 (around the LOHS campus); and the 800-meter Stroller Relay for adult couples with stroller.
Families are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes. Uesugi Farms donated pumpkins for the runners.
Entry into the event is $10 per child racer (Dino diaper dash is free) and $15 for adult couples into the stroller relay. Completed registration forms, as well as checks made payable to “Live Oak Track and Field” can be mailed to L.O. Track c/o Live Oak High School, 1505 E. Main Ave., Morgan Hill, CA 95037.
Race day registration and check-in begins at 8 a.m. with a one-lap “Parade of Goblins” at 9 a.m. before the diaper dash.
