STAFF REPORT

The winter sports teams at Live Oak and Sobrato high schools went 7-1 over the course of this week, establishing dominance in their respective divisions.

From soccer to wrestling, the only team to post a loss this week was the Live Oak boys basketball team, which dropped a close game to Santa Teresa 69-54 on Monday.

The Sobrato wrestling team defeated the Oak Grove Eagles 39-36 over the weekend to win the Lincoln Duals championship, and coach Phil Luna got what he wished for.

“In the BVAL, Oak Grove was the only team I hadn’t beaten in four years as coach at Sobrato,” Luna said. “It was satisfying to beat Oak Grove.”
