The Live Oak High School’s winter percussion and color guard just ended their seasons with some impressive titles.
After some outstanding performances at the final competition of the season in San Jose, winter percussion placed second at the California Color Guard Circuit championships while the color guard placed third. Color guard Captain Sierra Rubio was honored with “Outstanding Performer of the Year.” Just two of about 1,000 performers earned this recognition.
The previous weekend at the Winter Guard International championships in Southern California, the winter percussion came in third place. Winter guard had an outstanding performance at WGI Championships, however they didn’t make the finals.
The teams would like to thank Director Jason Locsin and his staff for their guidance and leadership, and their parent volunteers and boosters.
