2006, and 6-8 overall, with a marquee game at Lincoln on Saturday
night.
Live Oak trailed 10-8 after the first quarter, then exploded for
16 points in the second quarter to lead 24-19 at halftime.

Nathaniel Batey chipped in a season-high eight points, and Andrew Poonia had six for the Acorns, who moved to 1-1 on this four-game road stint.
James Lick received 10 points from Clinton Okoro and nine from Be-Jay Aying.
Live Oak will visit Andrew Hill on Wednesday then return home for Del Mar on Jan. 20 and Yerba Buena on Jan. 25.
- Sobrato was no match for undefeated Piedmont Hills on Thursday, as the visiting Pirates won 59-36 to stay perfect in the Mount Hamilton Division.
Travis Saenz had a game-high 16 points, and Jerry Jacob scored seven for Sobrato (2-12, 0-4).
The Pirates (14-0, 4-0) were led with 12 points by Eros Mendoza and 10 by Alex Aguilar.
Boys soccer
Sobrato earned a big scoreless draw with Leigh on Thursday at Sobrato High School.
The Longhorns (7-1-1, 3-0-1) are the top team in the Mount Hamilton Division but were held in check by an inspired Sobrato club that surrendered six goals in three losses to start league play.
The Bulldogs (1-6-2, 0-3-1) can add to the stir Tuesday at undefeated Lincoln.

Alexis Diaz scored twice with assists by Ben Hartl, and freshman Chase Vandenbrandhorninge collected a goal as well for the Acorns (5-1-3, 2-1-1), marking the third straight game Diaz and Vandenbrandhorninge have scored in together.
James Lick fell to 3-5 and 1-3.
