Live Oak High School has been going through many transitions starting with the huge change in the number of students in each class from almost 500 to 300 students. Now that Sobrato is here we’re sharing the students and this makes Live Oak seem very small. The class change makes a huge difference in our school spirit, but ASB has that taken care of.
The ASB students have already put on a fantastic Sadie Hawkings Dance, club food day, and a great fall rally that covered all clubs and fall sports! With October already here, Live Oak is set for an extremely busy month. October is one of Live Oak’s most exciting months because it consists of the Bay Cruise Dance, Spirit week, and the BIG homecoming game. Oct. 14 is the Bay Cruise (also known as the Homecoming dance) in San Francisco. Not only is it romantic and fun but it is definitely an unforgettable experience! The following Monday Live Oak kicks off spirit week when students dress up every day according to the day’s theme and then there is an activity at lunch for everyone to participate in. This helps everyone get excited for the big game and rally on Friday.
Friday, there is a rally and parade that presents all club and class princess. At the big game, all club queens will be announced before the varsity game and the homecoming court will be presented at half time along with the traditional fire works. Live Oak is looking forward to some fantastic events and hopes to see everyone at the homecoming game against Independence on Oct. 20, Junior Varsity at 4:30pm and Varsity and 7pm.
