Dear Editor,
On behalf of the parents of the Live Oak High School Class of 2005, I invite the public to support the 20th Annual Grad Night Party on June 10, 2005. It is a gala that takes months to plan and prepare for by many parent volunteers.
It is made possible by local individuals and businesses donating money and resources to make this a safe and sober evening for our graduates.
It is an event that is not underwritten by the school district, but is sustained by the generous contributions of sponsors who make ticket prices reasonable.
This is a night of activities where parent volunteers transform the school grounds and gymnasium into a uniquely themed setting.
The graduates are served food, non-alcoholic beverages, and provided with a variety of entertainment and prizes, including arcade games, disk jockey, casino, carnival and much more.
It is one last chance for the seniors to join with their friends and say good-bye before going their separate ways. Parents know where their students are, who they are with, and what they are doing.
Every graduating senior has worked hard to get to this point in their life, and Grad Night is the celebration parents and the community give to the students in honor of their graduation. If anyone is interested in helping us, donations are tax deductible. Contact me through Grad Night 2005, c/o Live Oak High School, 1505 East Main St., Morgan Hill, CA 95037, or call me at 779-6315 with questions. Remember we are a non-profit organization and it’s not too late to show support.

Grad Night Fundraising Chair,
Morgan Hill
