Sobrato came close to getting its first victory of the season

Acorns scored the game-winning goal in the last two minutes of the
game to win 7-6.

Seniors Kyle Dutra and Brian Costello each had three goals and one assist. Senior Tyler Damron scored a goal, and freshman Daniel Daly added an assist. The overall teamwork and a solid performance in the net by junior Ryan Listol were key contributers to Live Oak’s win.
Sobrato’s Scott Harvick scored four goals. The Sobrato goalie had an impressive game in the net blocking several key shots fired in by Live Oak’s offense.
Live Oak (4-3) is currently in third place in the league. The Acorns will face off against first place Del Mar two more times and fifth place Leland before heading to playoffs the weekend of June 15.
They start off tonight with a game against Del Mar at 9pm. Sobrato, with two games tonight, plays Leland at 7pm and fourth place Leigh at 9pm. They will meet seventh place Santa Clara and second place Wilcox before they head off to playoffs in June.
