King City denied Live Oak a chance to end the game after five thanks to two bases loaded singles with one out allowed the game to go one more inning.
But things ended quickly when Vallez scored on a one-out error that allowed Charles Romriell to reach safely and eventually score on a single from Rodriguez.
King City got one back in the bottom of the sixth thanks to a lead off triple, but Live Oak got out of the inning thanks to a double play with two runners on and eventually a ground ball to short ended the game.
The momentum carried over into Saturday when four-run third and fifth innings blew the game open against Kings Academy.
The Acorns put together a 14-hit day thanks to two-hit efforts from five players, including Romriell who went 2-4 with a run scored and three RBIs.

Kings Academy loaded the bases on a pair of singles and a walk before a sacrifice fly drove in its second run of the game.
But they went no further.
