Dear Editor,
Municipal elections tend to be popularity contests; the outcome determined more by name recognition than by candidate’s stands on the issues and their plans for the city. Morgan Hill is certainly no exception.
I propose declaring a “no platitude” zone for the upcoming city election. What I would like to see instead is a discussion of the real issues; for example the city’s financial situation, the use of RDA funds, and gangs and crimes.
As a voter I would like to know where the candidates stand and what they propose to do. I already know that they are all nice people with lots of experience.
