Lili Beatrice Ferguson died Jan. 16, 2005, in Morgan Hill. For many years, Lili battled Alzheimer’s disease while supported by her devoted children. Her youngest daughter, Joan, was especially helpful in providing care and assistance.

Lili had a wonderful and infectious sense of humor. Her favorite times were when she was surrounded by her children. Sometimes she would spontaneously hug them, then sing a few lines of one of her favorite songs. They would roll their eyes and complain about the tune, then they would laugh, and hug and kiss her. Lili had that kind of effect on everyone.

Lili lived most of her life in Hillsborough and San Mateo. Her interests included socializing, travel and art. Lili sold real estate for 20 years on the Peninsula, and raised four wonderful children there.

Valery (husband John) Lytle, Joan (husband Matt) Love, Steve (wife Sandra) Ferguson, and Keith (wife Claudia) Ferguson, were with their mom at her bedside when she left this world.

Family graveside services took place at Mount Hope Cemetery.

The family asks that any donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
