Spend money on students, not lawsuit

<

Why is School Superintendent Steve Betando so intent on spending approximately $60,000 of taxpayers’ money on a frivolous lawsuit? Why not spend that money where it counts, on the schools and students to benefit them?

<

Competition is healthy. Let the Voices charter school come in, since it now has a local site. There is no question about separation of church and state. They are only leasing a private location, not the religion.

<

It has always been published that the Morgan Hill Unified School District has excellent teachers and the best schools. Let the parents have a choice on where to send their children to be educated. Steve Betando, you have only made yourself look weak and very unsure about the public schools by constantly fighting and degrading the charter school petitions.

<

Please stop this back-biting and concentrate on educating our public school students in your district. Do not be afraid to let parents make their own choices.

<

And if the Voices charter school does not do a successful job of educating the students, it can only make the public schools in Morgan Hill even stronger.
