Dear editor,
I was saddened by the article about the family who was evicted and the house “red tagged” on Church St. near San Pedro. I drive in that area a lot. This family cleaned up a real trashy yard when they moved in, and they kept it nice.
If there is a sewer leak, that is the landlord’s problem, and should be fixed by the landlord. If this wasn’t done, to me, it looks like the owner is a “slumlord.” I feel sorry for that family.
