Dear Editor, I read where a real estate consultant was holding a
workshop at the Community and Cultural Center, to present the
results of another consultant relative to various designs for
Monterey Road through downtown Morgan Hill.
It’s already obvious, residents don’t want to change Monterey Road
Dear Editor,
I read where a real estate consultant was holding a workshop at the Community and Cultural Center, to present the results of another consultant relative to various designs for Monterey Road through downtown Morgan Hill. It’s a toss-up which is more absurd … the extensive use of consultants, or the idea of spending $4 to $10 million dollars on the roadway.
Perhaps our city council’s time could be better spent on education and public safety issues.

Three dogs dumped near creek; one needs a loving home
Dear Editor,
Around Aug. 16 some low life dumped three Chihuahua dogs off at the creek at the end of Burnett Avenue. Discarded like garbage! Luckily two of the dogs were rescued by someone that day. Unknown to them there was a third dog out there. Little dog X was out there for nearly two weeks before she was rescued by Morgan Hill Animal control on August 28.
I started feeding her once I realized she was out there, but couldn’t get near her. I called animal control and explained the situation.
She survived rattle snakes, wild boars, bobcats, mountain lions and coyotes.
Her survival is a miracle and the officer who finally was able to catch her is amazed she is alive after being out there for that long.
He said, “she is a survivor, and a sweet little dog.”
Now she waits in the San Martin Animal Shelter for a new life. I hope there is someone out there who needs her as much as she needs them.Â

Time to put taggers out of business
Dear Editor,
I walk my dog in Diana Park each morning. The brick building in the middle of the park is continually defaced with graffiti/tagging. The city has done a good job of reacting quickly and painting over the latest work. Not only is it a blight on the local community but the cost of paint and labor to continually repaint the building is ridiculous.
The most effective way to discourage graffiti/tagging is to paint over it as soon as it happens, but the frequency of the occurrence is intensifying. I dislike video surveillance but it may be a consideration to put these people out of business.
