On behalf of the board of trustees of the Learning and Loving Education Center (LLEC) I would like to congratulate the Chamber of Commerce and the organizers of the Third Annual Women’s Week celebration (Sept. 26-31) on a job well done.
The combined talents of Cecelia Ponzini, Brittney Peterson, Katie Khera and Caitlin Robinett Jachimowicz once again welcomed the entire community to a series of events highlighting strong families through education and confidence building, particularly for women and girls.
We are grateful for the weeklong recognition of our efforts to reflect these values through our educational programs at the LLEC.
Our women and their preschool children benefit from classes in English and other skills, with the goal of building confidence and improving their lives and the lives of their families. The committee recognized us at every event and, at the recent Chamber breakfast, presented us with a check for over $1,500 donated from the week of events. Since we are currently in the midst of a matching grant challenge from a major family foundation, this contribution will be doubled.
We send our heartfelt thanks to the Women’s Week committee and all the community members who contributed to this generous gift.
