Whether you are planning a spring flower border that will enhance your yard and garden or want to grow your own distinctive color bowls to sit on a patio or balcony, this class will show you how. Fall is the prime time to plant and you will learn which bulbs do well and how to grow them.
Discussions will include: soil preparation, site selection and the wide variety of bulbs available to ensure success for your spring garden. You will also learn how to “force” bulbs into bloom for the holidays.
The class will be taught by Barbara Stott, garden manager at Crow Canyon Gardens in San Ramon, and the cost to attend is $8 for Friends’ members and $10 for non-members. Space is limited, so reserve your spot early by sending a check to Friends of Guadalupe River Park & Gardens, 50 W. San Fernando St., Suite 1100, San Jose, CA 95113.
