The sophomore sustained the injury when she landed awkwardly on her head during the JV match Friday night. Saarl, who reportedly remained conscious the entire time, said she felt the same way she did when she suffered a similar injury while snowboarding a year and a half earlier. She was flown by CalStar helicopter to Stanford to see a spinal specialist.
