Two Hollister men died Sunday in an alleged gang-related shooting at 11:30 p.m. in the 600 block of Chaparral Court.

Hollister Police Officers released the identities of two of four victims who died after suffering gunshot wounds Sunday. Ignacio Ruiz, 20, and Cruz Navarro, 18, were pronounced dead shortly after they arrived at Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital, according to a police statement.

Two additional male victims were flown to Bay Area hospitals for medical treatment, according to a police statement, and medical status for both is still pending.

The victims were provided with medical care and an assessment of their injuries by the Hollister Fire Department and AMR before they were transported to area hospitals.

Police officers said those at the scene of the alleged shooting refused to cooperate or provide statements to investigators. HPD reported that some witnesses in the area allege a light-colored minivan was seen leaving the area of the scene around the time of the shootings.

HPD officers are asking anyone with information related to the incident to call an officer or detectives.
