Silicon Valley Reads 2013

Two books have been selected for 2013 Silicon Valley Reads program with the theme “Invisible Wounds of War”: “The Long Walk: A Story of War and the Life that Follows” by Brian Castner, and “Minefields of the Heart: A Mother’s Stories of a Son at War” by Sue Diaz. How do combat veterans and their loved ones bridge the divide that war, by its very nature creates between them? Diaz recounts the emotional rollercoaster her family and other soldiers’ families experience during and after deployment. Diaz will be at the Morgan Hill Library, 660 W.
