Hospice of the Valley (HOV) has relocated to a new location in San Jose. The new address is 4850 Union Ave., in San Jose. The 16,000-square-foot, standalone, two-story building will accommodate the growing demand for the organization’s core services and programs while expanding their community services and programs for end-of-life care in Santa Clara County.
HOV’s new telephone number is (408) 559-5600; new fax number is (408) 559-3462 and for HOV’s Transitions program, the new number is (408) 559-5610. URL: http://www.hospicevalley.org and email: re*****@***********ey.org, remain the same.
“The move was seamless and transparent to our clients, patients and families,” said Sally Adelus, executive director of Hospice of the Valley. This speaks to the cooperation and support of everyone involved with our relocation process and of our operational abilities to continue to provide high quality service to our families, amidst a major move.”
“Just four years ago our patient daily census was 35. Today, we are close to tripling our service to clients, patients and their families,” continued Adelus. “This growth is attributed to increased community outreach and increased public awareness through the media. Today, more people are learning about hospice and palliative end-of-life care services and bereavement programs through personal experience given the growing number of aging baby boomers facing end-of-life care issues by caring for aging parents and relatives.”
The new facilities, located near Highway 85 on Union, will provide essential office space for staff and volunteers with adequate parking for clients and families receiving end-of-life care information and bereavement services. The building has room for anticipated future growth, as well.
Hospice of the Valley was previously located at Bascom Avenue in San Jose for more than 20 years.
