• Rene Spring: Dear Santa, Here are my holiday wishes for Our Morgan Hill: 1.Keep us safe! Make sure that we will have no car accidents in our cities and that those who want to commit a crime either have a change of heart, or follow you to the North pole! 2. Let it rain soon and enough without flooding our streets! 3. Keep our Morgan Hill a great place to live in! Help spread the words across the Silicon Valley about our great town and its surroundings so that many more will come and visit our town to shop, dine, and to enjoy our local wineries and parks! 4. Ensure that Morgan Hill continues to be a giving town! Give where You Live: The Morgan Hill Community Foundation is one of our great local charitable organizations in our town and dear to my heart! So, dear Santa, if you know of some wonderful people in our town who would like to become donors to the MHCF, provide them with this link:http://www.morganhillcf.org 5. Ensure that the Leadership Morgan Hill Class of 2014 will have a great experience and provide our community with another wonderful class project! Wishing all of you a wonderful 2014!
• Swanee Edwards: Merry Christmas Morgan Hill!! As a member of the Tourism Alliance and 25-year resident, I have watched Morgan Hill grow and improve over the years. I simply love living here! Promotion, promotion, and continue to follow-up on getting folks downtown! Continue to let the rest of the county and the state know we are here! Continue to improve our recreational venues, while continuing mixed use for the ball fields. Continue with our Vision for 2025 and beyond. Drive through downtown and pretend you are seeing everything for the first time. It will fill your heart with pride!
n David Cohen: My holiday wish for Morgan Hill is a simple one – a gently rising and stable economy, that will enable the community to move ahead on key projects that improve the community and our quality of life in the community.
• Jonathan Brusco: My holiday wish for Morgan Hill would be the creation of a larger, more substantial Gavilan College campus near our community that is able to offer a wider range of courses to our local students as well as more career and technology programs specifically geared toward our community and jobs in the greater Silicon Valley area.
• Matt Wendt: As a member of the General Plan Advisory Committee which makes recommendations regarding the update to the city’s General Plan… We need an updated General Plan that reflects what residents want Morgan Hill to look like in 2035. The morganhill2035.org website has information about public meetings.
• Julian Mancias: Dear Santa, Can you please provide more diversity in the leadership positions in Morgan Hill? We lack diversity in the leadership/administrative positions at city hall, the school district, the City Council, chamber of commerce, police department, and the school board.
• Karen Anderson: Morgan Hill needs a policy that if a builder does not use his allotment, he loses it. This year we are swamped with new homes that are keeping the resale prices from rebounding as much as they are in many other Santa Clara County cities. I would also like us to go back to minimum 6,000 square foot lots for single family dwellings.
• Kathy Sullivan: I would wish Morgan Hill will rededicate itself to protecting and assisting the youth of our community. They are our future and our best investment in making sure our community strengthens and grows.
