My concern was how do you stop turning the hips and allow the shoulders to continue to the top of the back swing.
After viewing the pros over and over with equipment here at Coyote Creek, I noticed players like Ernie Els, Brad Faxon and of course Tiger all have something in common.
None of the top players on the tour started the hips with the shoulders.
The hips always supported the swinging of the shoulders by not starting in motion with the shoulders.
The hips didn’t start moving until just before the hands reached hip high on the backswing.
This procedure creates more torque between the upper body and the lower half, giving you more clubhead speed.
So work on keeping your hips quiet and letting the shoulders pull your hips into the action rather than starting everything at the same time.
