Red Phone: Dear Hiker, Red Phone got numerous calls regarding the hike, so to the Morgan Hill Historical Society’s website we went, and as of yet, it has not been rescheduled. Stay tuned. It will be published in this paper and online at www.morganhilltimes.com when the new date is announced.
Old Burger King building demolished
“Red Phone, it’s good to see the old Burger King building at the corner of Monterey Road and (W.) Edmundson Avenue was finally demolished. Not that I’m looking forward to another auto parts store going in, but at least the old building is gone. Got to tell you, Red Phone, that corner sure looks nice without a building.”
Red Phone: Dear It Sure Looks Nice, Red Phone too is pleased the old building has been demolished. Bet owner Bruno Martino is pleased as well, considering all the negative flack he took regarding the look of the building as Auto Zone worked its way through the system, getting plans approved.
It should be noted that the fence placed around the building includes the sidewalks, as new ones will be built when the new building goes up.
